Security Officer I- Detox Center Reports ToLead Security OfficerSalary Grade N2FLSA Status Non-ExemptEffective DateMay 2025SummaryThe Security Officer I shall perform access control functions and patrols throughout the Village Health Center’s 2nd floor to include Father Joe’s Detox Center and the lobby. Qualified personnel will possess characteristics and traits, such as self-control, patience, self-discipline, maturity, attention to detail, and a neat and professional appearance. The individual must be of unquestionable integrity, display a mature, responsible attitude and exercise good judgment.
He/she shall actively support and uphold the agency's stated mission, vision and values. Essential Functions•Patrols assigned areas and respond to calls for assistance to include de-escalating crises. •Respond to emergency situations (e.g. fire, bomb threat, or natural disaster) to clear the facility if deemed necessary•Ensure all individuals entering the Village Health Center’s 2nd floor conform to all stated rules and regulations.•Report incidents, safety hazards and/or violations to supervisor as soon as practical utilizing a two-way radio or other communication method such as email or phone•Record all incidents occurring during the shift and complete incident reports in a timely manner•Completion of assigned training and policy review and acknowledgment•Performs other duties as assignedQualifications•CA Guard Card certification.
•High School Diploma or GED. •Adult CPR/First Aid & AED or BLS CPR certified •Completion of AVADE’s 2-day Behavioral Health course •Basic user of MS Office. •Have at least 1 year of security experience •Be at least 21 years of age with a minimum of 3 years of driving experience; possesses a valid California driver's license; and has no Class 1 or more than two Class 2 violations within the past 36 months. •Participate in an annual Tuberculosis screening and/or other screenings when necessary.
