Shipping & Receiving Specialist

General Summary: 


The Shipping and Receiving Specialist overseas all incoming and outgoing shipments as well as updating records using data entry to track purchases within ES3’s internal ERP system.  

Requirements:


  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Forklift certified – training provided

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Perform receiving duties, update ERP tracking system, distribute received products and process receiving reports.
  • Verify materials and processes performed against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages.
  • Storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods.
  • Maintain inventory control of shipping products
  • Pack goods for outgoing shipment 
  • Coordinate the pick-up and delivery of freight and express mail services (FedEx, UPS, etc)
  • Unload trucks and deliveries 
  • Track and update the status of shipments
  • Review of open orders report

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:


  • 2-3 years proficiency in MS Word, Excel & Outlook, Google Mail; Knowledge of computer systems and their applications.
  • Familiarity with basic business practices associated with warehouse and machine shop operations.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to interact with users, ability to listen, comprehend, interpret, articulate and define solutions as well as the ability to accurately document design information.
  • Solid technical, organization, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Sound analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a larger team.
  • Forward thinking and displays initiative.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks and deadlines and respond to changing demands.
  • Ability to independently address assignments with minimal or no supervision.
  • Experience in providing high quality customer service.
  • Perform other duties as requested

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities. 

Work Environment

This job operates in a machine shop office environment.  This role routinely involves standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.  

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time hourly position, classified as non-exempt. This is Monday to Friday, and complete eight-hour shifts daily
