Summary
The Security Monitor is the initial point of contact for clients, tenants, staff and visitors by providing information, controlling and monitoring access, reporting and documenting incidents throughout various Father Joe’s Villages properties. Qualified personnel will possess characteristics and traits, such as self-control, patience, self-discipline, maturity, attention to detail, and a neat and professional appearance. The Security Monitor must be of unquestionable integrity, display a mature, responsible attitude and exercise good judgment.
He/she shall actively support and uphold the agency's stated mission, vision and values.
Essential Functions
- Screens individuals entering the facilities through use of technology such as CCTV or intercom systems
- Provides information/directions to clients and the public, conducts crowd control and contacts security when necessary
- Reports safety hazards and/or violations
- Notifies security of alarms and documents incidents at assigned properties
- Ensures all paperwork at assigned post is completed correctly and on time
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
· Basic user of MS office
- Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience.
· Effective oral and written communication skills with all levels of the organization
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities to completion.
- Problem-solving skills with an analytical thought process.
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
- Able to work with flexible schedule due to department needs
