Who We’re Looking For:
PeopleConnect’s People Search division is growing, and we’re looking for a highly skilled Senior Full-Stack Engineer with a strong backend focus to help build and scale our digital products. This role is critical in designing and maintaining high-performance, scalable, and secure backend systems while also contributing to frontend development as needed.You’ll work with modern technologies like Node.js, React, and Google Cloud, ensuring that our data-driven, search-heavy platform is optimized for speed, accuracy, and reliability. What You’ll Do (but not limited to):
Backend & Full-Stack Development:
- Architect and develop scalable backend systems using primarily TypeScript and Node.js, ensuring high availability and security.
- Design and optimize APIs and services, ensuring seamless communication across the platform.
- Develop and maintain efficient databases, optimizing queries for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Implement best practices in service-oriented architecture (SOA) to enhance system flexibility and maintainability.
- Contribute to frontend development using React, ensuring smooth user interactions when needed.
Cloud Infrastructure & Performance Optimization:
- Deploy, manage, and scale applications on Google Cloud, optimizing infrastructure performance and cost-efficiency.
- Ensure platform reliability and uptime, implementing best practices for logging, monitoring, and observability.
- Enhance security measures, ensuring data protection and compliance with industry standards.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Data Science, and Engineering to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and testing, ensuring high code quality, maintainability, and security.
- Continuously optimize system performance, identifying and resolving complex technical challenges.
- Advocate for engineering best practices, promoting clean code, automation, and efficient workflows.

What We’re Looking For:
Experience & Technical Expertise
- 5+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, with a strong emphasis on backend development.
- Deep expertise in Node.js backend development, with experience designing and maintaining high-performance APIs and microservices.
- Strong command of relational and NoSQL databases, with experience in query optimization and database performance tuning.
- Proficiency in frontend technologies, particularly React, to support full-stack development when needed.
- Hands-on experience with docker, kubernetes, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including deployment, scaling, monitoring, and infrastructure optimization.
- Experience in designing scalable, secure service-oriented architectures (SOA).
Education & Soft Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of working effectively in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with a passion for building innovative, high-quality solutions.
