Cambridge International Systems, Inc., has a full-time Cyber Security Engineer opportunity based in Charleston, SC. Qualified candidates for this job must possess a current DoD Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret.

ROLE RESPONSIBILTIES


  • Monitor, analyze, and detect Cyber events and incidents within information systems and networks under general supervision.
  • Assist with integrated, dynamic Cyber-defense, coordinate and maintain security toolsets to support organizations’ continuous monitoring and ongoing authorization programs, establish a framework by which cyber risk can be measured and quantified in the marketplace.
  • Determines security requirements by evaluating business strategies and requirements; researching information security standards; conducting system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments; studying architecture/platform; identifying integration issues; preparing cost estimates.
  • Experience preparing, implementing, and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity policy, to include Assessment and Authorization requirements. Experience may include plan, implement, upgrade, and/or monitor cybersecurity measures to improve cyber defense and maintain a cyber-resilient network; assess cybersecurity vulnerabilities for risks and propose and implement remediation actions or risk mitigation strategies; ensure appropriate security controls are in place that will safeguard digital files and electronic infrastructure; and respond to computer security breaches to re-establish protections and make required reports.
  • Verifies security systems by developing and implementing test scripts.
  • Maintains security by monitoring and ensuring compliance to standards, policies, and procedures; conducting incident response analyses; developing and conducting training programs.
  • Responsible for the design, development, implementation, and integration of a DoD IA architectures, systems, or system components for use within computing, network, and enclave environments.
  • Ensure that the architecture and design of development and operational systems are functional and secure.
  • This include designs for program of record systems and special purpose processing nodes with platform IT interconnectivity.

Required QUALIFICATIONS


  • Ability to lead a team of cyber security professionals and direct tasking and provide mentorship and leadership.
  • Experience with the RMF Process.
  • Experience with policy and RMF artifact development.
  • Experience web-based applications designed to support the RMF and A&A such as eMASS and MCCAST.
  • Desire experience with HBSS.
  • 5+ years experience in the field
  • Develops technical solutions to complex problems.
  • Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment.
  • CISSP or CASP+ certification

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS


  • Ability to travel up to 25% to 50%.  In some occasions, overnight travel may be required.

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT AND WORKING CONDITIONS


  • Must be able to work in an office environment, sitting at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday.
  • Work is physically comfortable; the employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.
  • May be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site.
