About the role:
We are excited to continue our pattern growth by adding an additional Claims Adjuster to our claims organization to help continue the build out of our internal claims program. In this role, you will play a critical role in driving Nirvana’s world class claims organization by handling first and third party claims, including cargo.auditing and driving claim success through a third party claims administrator. We’re a distributed team spread across the US and India, with offices in San Francisco, CA & Columbus, OH.
For this role we’re open to candidates in the southern, midwest, and northeast regions of the United States.
What you’ll do:
- Analyze coverage based on the facts of the loss
- Make informed liability decisions, including the consideration of comparative negligence
- Collaborate with claims leadership on severity losses, reserve adjustments and claim evaluations
- Negotiate settlements with first and third party claimants
- Utilize data available to drive focus on claim trends
- Handle special projects or additional duties assigned related to your role as an individual contributor of the claims organization
About you:
- 3-5 years of experience in commercial auto and/or transportation claim adjudication
- Experience in Active adjusters license in home or designated home state
- Consistently exceeds targets including, but not limited to, cycle time and recovery rates
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Bias-to-action - you’re not afraid to get your hands dirty and stretch yourself
