Dark Wolf Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and experienced
Senior Cloud Cybersecurity Engineer with a strong focus on cloud security to join our growing team. In this role, you will be a key contributor to our organization's cybersecurity program, focusing on securing our Google Cloud environment and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our data and systems. You will work closely with other security professionals, engineers, and stakeholders to implement and maintain security controls, respond to security incidents, and promote a strong security culture.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Providing in-depth expertise on securing Google Cloud environments (GCP), including designing and implementing security best practices for compute, storage, networking, and identity management.
  • Implementing and maintaining security controls and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), endpoint detection and response (EDR), vulnerability scanners, and SIEM solutions.
  • Assisting in the identification, assessment, and mitigation of cybersecurity risks, specifically related to cloud environments, by implementing appropriate controls and technologies.
  • Participating in incident response activities, including investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery efforts.
  • Conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate security weaknesses.
  • Assisting in ensuring compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, HIPAA, CCPA, FISMA, SOX), with a particular focus on cloud compliance requirements.
  • Contributing to the development and delivery of security awareness training programs to educate employees about cybersecurity best practices.
  • Effectively communicating security risks and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Providing security input and guidance on new system designs and deployments, ensuring security is integrated into the development lifecycle.
  • Assisting in evaluating and selecting security solutions to meet the organization's needs, with a focus on cloud security tools.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity.
  • Proven experience securing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and best practices (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS).
  • Experience with security tools and technologies, such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, endpoint detection and response (EDR), vulnerability scanners, and penetration testing tools.
  • Solid understanding of incident response methodologies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GCIH, or similar are desirable.
  • Experience with compliance requirements (CCPA, PCI DSS, HIPAA, FISMA, SOX).
  • US Citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret security clearance 

Desired Qualifications:


  • Experience working in [relevant industry]
  • Experience with security automation and orchestration (SOAR)
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps principles
  • Google Cloud Security certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud Security Engineer)

  • Strong coding experience
