Position Overview
The Quality Assurance (QA) Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving quality processes, procedures, and controls to support operational efficiency and regulatory compliance. This role will write, monitor, and enforce quality procedures, ensuring they are effectively integrated into production workflows. The QA Coordinator will also oversee QA Leads on the production floor, track performance metrics, and drive process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, document, and implement standardized quality processes that align with SOC2, HITRUST, and industry best practices.
- Monitor process adherence and effectiveness, ensuring compliance with internal and external quality standards.
- Supervise and support QA Leads, providing training, guidance, and performance oversight.
- Lead process improvement initiatives, identifying inefficiencies, proposing solutions, and ensuring successful implementation.
- Collaborate with Production, Compliance, and Operations teams to enhance workflows and embed quality controls.
- Conduct regular audits and process reviews, ensuring that quality procedures are being followed and continuously refined.
- Perform root cause analysis and corrective action planning (CAPA) to address and prevent quality issues.
- Track and analyze key quality performance indicators (KPIs), using data to drive continuous improvement efforts.
- Provide training and coaching to production teams on quality processes, compliance, and best practices.
- Support internal and external audits, ensuring documentation and reporting requirements are met.
- Assist in the development and execution of Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to optimize quality and efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) – Required.
- 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance within a print, mail, manufacturing, or regulated production environment.
- Strong background in writing and implementing quality processes and procedural documentation.
- Experience leading teams or supervising QA personnel in a production environment.
- In-depth understanding of SOC2, HITRUST, or other regulatory frameworks.
- Proven ability to drive process improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies (certification is a plus).
- Proficiency in root cause analysis, CAPA management, and audit procedures.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret quality data and generate actionable insights.
- Excellent communication, training, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and coach team members.
