Together we are committed to investing in each other and our mission to ensure all patients have access to high quality care.The Vice President of Finance is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing key financial aspects of the company, including financial planning, reporting, analysis, risk management, and strategic financial decision-making.
This position ensures the company's financial health and operational efficiency, providing the executive team and Board of Directors with insights to guide long-term growth and profitability.
As Vice President of Finance at Eko, You Will:
- Strategic Financial Leadership:
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's business objectives.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to shape the company’s strategic direction.
- Advise the CFO, CEO and Board of Directors on financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
- Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A):
- Oversee the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
- Analyze financial results and recommend actions to improve profitability, cash flow, and overall financial performance.
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and variance analysis.
- Financial Reporting:
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS), regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
- Coordinate the preparation of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders, including the Board of Directors and investors.
- Cash Flow and Capital Management:
- Oversee cash flow management and liquidity to ensure adequate capital for day-to-day operations and future growth.
- Develop strategies for managing working capital, financing, and capital expenditure.
- Risk Management and Compliance:
- Identify and mitigate financial risks, including market, credit, and operational risks.
- Ensure the company’s compliance with all financial regulations, tax laws, and industry standards.
- Work closely with auditors and external regulators to ensure accurate audits and compliance.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement within the finance department.
- Mergers, Acquisitions, and Capital Projects:
- Lead financial due diligence and analysis for potential mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic business opportunities.
- Manage capital projects and investments, ensuring they align with the company’s strategic goals.
- Partner with the CEO and CFO to raise capital, when needed.
- Investor Relations (if applicable):
- Partner with the CFO to manage relationships with investors and other key financial stakeholders.
- Oversee the preparation of financial reports and presentations for shareholders and investors.
As Vice President of Finance at Eko, You Have:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 10-15 years in financial management, with at least 5 years in a senior finance leadership role.
- Skills:
- CPA with public accounting experience preferred//or MBA preferred
- Expertise in financial strategy, planning, and reporting.
- Strong knowledge of financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Excellent understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.
- Ability to lead, manage, and inspire a finance team.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Experience with ERP and financial management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion).
- Ability to think strategically while maintaining strong operational oversight.
