The Senior Manager, PR identifies press and communications opportunities that will further elevate the Knix and Kt by Knix brand by driving awareness, sales, and retention. This position will oversee Public Relations initiatives to ensure consistent and qualitative coverage of both brands across North America, with a strong focus on the US market. This requires collaboration with our brand team to establish strong partnerships both on a regional and national scale across the US and Canada. The ideal candidate will be based in New York, have strong relationships with US media, and have experience working with or within PR agencies.

This role also requires some travel to our Toronto office approximately six times per year.

The Opportunity


  • Build and maintain relationships across industries to keep Knix top of mind as a preferred partner.
  • Develop, execute, and monitor PR strategies that drive storytelling and press opportunities, with a strong focus on US media.
  • Manage daily communications with PR agency partners.
  • Collaborate with the partnerships team to identify opportunities that generate press and create communication plans.
  • Align PR efforts with the broader marketing strategy to deliver measurable KPIs.
  • Implement a structured, process-driven approach to press outreach and relationship management.
  • Research potential partners, identify key players, and generate interest.
  • Create project briefs and internal pitch decks for alignment and approvals.
  • Work with senior leadership and marketing teams to align internal goals with press opportunities.
  • Forecast, measure, and report on partnership projects, including co-branded content, lead sharing, and event collaborations.
  • Support the regional field marketing team in evaluating local opportunities.
  • Oversee the brand event calendar to ensure synergy across departments and regional planning.
  • Manage PR agency operations, including briefings, calendars, reporting, and press material schedules.

Qualifications


  • Based in New York with strong relationships in US media.
  • 7+ years of experience in PR, brand partnerships, communications, or marketing, with 2-3 years in a leadership role.
  • Preferred experience in a PR agency or working closely with agency partners.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and G Suite.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • Experience negotiating contracts and agreements.
  • Strong time management and logistics skills, with the ability to keep stakeholders accountable.
  • Proven experience in end-to-end partnership development and management.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and subject matter expertise.
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, and collaborative with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work independently while engaging with cross-functional teams and external partners.
