The
DevOps Engineer
is responsible for overseeing the design, development, and operations of our DevOps strategy. This position will partner closely with our development, quality assurance, and operations teams to optimize our software development lifecycle and infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, document, and maintain our DevOps infrastructure, tools, and processes.
- Set up and maintain monitoring and logging systems to ensure system health and availability.
- Collaborate with developers and operations teams to identify and prioritize areas for automation, optimization, and improvement.
- Build and maintain continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
- Manage and monitor cloud infrastructure and services, including servers, storage, and network components.
- Implement and maintain security and compliance standards for our systems and applications.
- Maintain clear documentation for infrastructure processes, deployments, and automation strategies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with infrastructure and applications, and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
- Keep up to date with the latest DevOps tools and technologies, and evaluate their potential to improve our processes and infrastructure.
Skills & Experience:
- Experience: 3+ years in a DevOps role, preferably in web application development.
- Cloud Expertise - Must-have: Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Advantage: Familiarity with AWS and/or Azure.
- Scripting & Automation - Must-have: Programming skills in Python and Bash. Advantage: Proven experience in JavaScript.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) - Must-have: Strong expertise in Terraform. Advantage: Proven experience with Ansible.
- Extensive experience with Docker for managing scalable applications.
- Agile & Collaboration: Ability to work closely with developers, QA, and product teams to streamline deployment and troubleshooting processes.
- Advantage: Experience with monitoring & logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), or Datadog.
- Advantage: Experience with CI/CD tools such as Bitbucket Pipelines and Jenkins.
