Job Profile Summary: Provides administrative and clerical support to the traffic operations function of an organization.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all aspects of routing, shipping, logging, and tracking of inbound and outbound orders.
- Contacts transporters for freight pick-up and ensures that cargo is routed appropriately.
- Communicates changes to routing and timelines.
- Prepares and processes bills of lading (BOL) and other shipping documentation.
- Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function.
- Comply with the requirements of the company’s Quality Management System.
Required Skills, Experience, and Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of related experience
- Gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job.
Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:
- 5+ years of related experience
- Confident, team-oriented, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-managed and highly motivated
- Displays integrity, reliability, empathy, and strong work ethic.
Physical Requirements:
- Remain in a stationary/seated position for an extended period.
- Regularly required to operate a computer, telephone, keyboard, and other office machinery.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
- The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds.
