Industrial Security Manager

Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Industrial Security Manager with experience in Special Access Programs (SAP) to join our team supporting Department of Defense (DoD) clients. This is a high-impact role where you will manage personnel security operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and oversee secure facilities.

What You Will Do:


  • Serve as the CPSO/FSO, overseeing security operations for customer programs, leads a team of three security professionals
  • Manage and ensure the security of classified programs, including personnel, information, and physical security, in compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Process and maintain employee clearances, access credentials, visit certifications, badges, document control, briefings, debriefings, security database records, and onboarding processes. Process Visitor Access Requests (VARs) and validate visitor clearances
  • Collaborate with government customers to obtain necessary accreditations and approvals. Be familiar with processes such as Fixed Facility Checklists, Construction Security Plans, and Tempest Checklists
  • Implement security measures to safeguard personnel, facilities, and information, adhering to the 32 CFR Part 117, “The Rule” (NISPOM), Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), Security Executive Agent Directives (SEADs), and other relevant regulations

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with government customers and internal teams, to ensure consistent security policies and practices across the organization. Provide guidance and oversight to defense contractors to maintain security integrity
  • Lead the preparation and successful completion of security inspections and audits by government agencies and internally (self-inspections). Implement corrective actions, when necessary
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with government and company security policies, particularly regarding special security programs. Ensure compliance with Facility Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and coordinate necessary maintenance
  • Provide expert guidance on physical security, industrial security, and contractor clearance processes

  • Oversea the preparation, maintenance, and security of Personnel Security Files (PSFs)
  • Assist in annual program access validations and DD 254 preparation
  • Collaborate on security education, awareness, and training programs
  • Investigate and track security incidents while implementing corrective measures
  • Lead special projects as assigned to enhance security operations

Qualifications


Must Haves:


  • Active TS/SCI eligibility required for clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience: 4+ years of relevant work may substitute for degree)
  • Proven leadership ability and excellent communication skills
  • 10+ years of security experience, with 4+ years supporting DoD SAP programs
  • CPSO Certification and experience as a CPSO in a SAP Facility.
  • Proficiency with Defense Information System for Security (DISS) and Joint Access Decision Environment (JADE)

Nice to Haves:


  • Experience as a CPSO in a SAP Facility
  • CPSO experience with NRO is desired
  • Experience as a COMSEC Account Manager or COMSEC Policy Implementation Officer
  • Knowledge of ICD 705, facility accreditation processes and secure facility operations

Physical Requirements:


  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office 
  • Constantly work with computers and other information technology equipment
