The Summer Undergraduate Intern will assist the IT department in various technical projects focused on IT/OT (Information Technology/Operational Technology) asset management, software/solution inventory management, and enterprise password management. The intern will work closely with IT and OT teams to support the implementation of asset management systems, track and maintain software/solution inventories, and enhance the organization’s password management systems. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an undergraduate student to gain practical experience in IT operations within the pharmaceutical industry.Requirements
IT/OT Asset Management Implementation:
- Assist in the planning, deployment, and management of IT and OT asset management solutions.
- Help track and monitor hardware and software assets across the organization.
- Support the documentation of asset lifecycle processes, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, and decommissioning.
Software/Solution Inventory Management:
- Assist in maintaining an accurate inventory of all software and solutions used across the organization.
- Support the development and implementation of processes for software usage tracking, compliance, and renewals.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure that the software inventory reflects current deployments.
Enterprise Password Management:
- Assist in the administration and optimization of enterprise-wide password management systems.
- Support user access management processes, ensuring that passwords and access credentials are securely managed.
- Help implement best practices in password policies and procedures to ensure compliance with internal security standards.
Collaborative Support:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including IT, OT, and cybersecurity to ensure smooth execution of projects.
- Provide support in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to IT and OT asset management.
- Assist in preparing reports and presentations to communicate project progress and findings to leadership.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program (preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field).
- Strong interest in IT and OT systems, asset management, and security best practices.
- Basic understanding of asset management, IT systems, and software inventory management concepts.
- Familiarity with enterprise password management tools and technologies is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in IT internships or related coursework is a plus but not required.
