Position Details:We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Part-time Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year. This individual would be supporting SOAR, a hybrid program within the district, servicing 6th-12th grade students. This position offers flexibility and a reduced schedule while still providing the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the school community.Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech and language disorders, including articulation, language, fluency, and pragmatic communication skills.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Provide direct therapy services in both individual and group settings to address speech and language goals outlined in IEPs.
- Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and other related service providers to support students' academic and social-emotional development.
- Utilize evidence-based practices and innovative strategies to enhance students' communication skills and facilitate progress towards established goals.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting intervention plans as needed to ensure continued growth and achievement.
- Engage in ongoing professional development activities to stay current with best practices and advancements in the field of speech-language pathology.
- Foster positive relationships with parents and caregivers through regular communication and involvement in the IEP process.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
- Experience working with school-aged children in a school or clinical setting.
Pay and Benefits:
- The pay range for this position is $45/hour - $60/hour, based on qualifications and experience
