Job Description
Role Mission:
The Manager – Finance & Accounts, will be responsible for overseeing all finance, accounting, and reporting activities. The candidate will also be involved in supporting presentations to the leadership team and audit committees and will work closely with the Finance Controller in financial analysis in areas such as forecasting, budgeting, engaging in cost reduction analysis, and reviewing operational performance. The position will lead all day-to-day finance operations and supervise a team of staff members.
He will hold functional responsibility over accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, etc. In addition, the role will be partner with the Finance Controller, Senior Leadership, the Human Resources (HR) and Information Technology (IT) staff to enhance and better integrate Finance, HR, and IT functions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Financial accounting and reporting: Oversee day to day accounting operations and month end close as per the finance calendar and compliance with the applicable GAAP and other regulations,
- Closing monthly/ quarterly / year end financials, preparation of financial statements and managing audits with a Big 4 auditor.
- Managing regular interactions with multiple stakeholders internally including working with senior management (Business CEO and his direct reports),
- Communicate with external stakeholders such as banks, Auditors and professional advisors, Tax & regulatory authorities,
- Ability to offer solutions related to finance processes in line with business requirements,
- Monthly Management Report (MIS) including Cash Flow, Annual budget process and periodic analysis of financial performance,
- Oversee the continuous improvement of Accounting and Financial Processes on new updates,
- Hands-on experience on preparing financial models, business projections and valuations,
- Oversee the External /Internal Audit, review and analyze results,
- Identification of areas for cost reductions and operational improvements,
- Ensure the compliance/documentation requirement for all laws like Companies Act, Income Tax Act, GST,
- Overseeing all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements,
- Consistently analyzing of financial data and presenting financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; monitor progress, changes and keep senior leadership abreast of the financial status,
- Assisting leadership in the annual budgeting and planning process; administering and reviewing all financial plans and comparing actual results with a view to identifying, explaining, and correcting variances as appropriate,
- As part of job responsibilities, you are required to comply with ISO 20252:2019 and ISO 27001 standards.

Education and Other Requirement:
- 8+ Years of hands-on experience in managing and leading Finance & Accounts, experience in Market Research industry will be highly preferred,
- Minimum qualification of M. Com or CA Inter is mandatory,
- Should have managed a team of minimum 2-3 team members,
- Hands on experience in managing the day-to-day accounting including month-end close process.
Knowledge, Skill, Ability:
- Solid experience coordinating audit activities and managing reporting, budget development and analysis, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll, and accounting for investments,
- A track record in grants management; experience in compliance and reporting of government, corporate and foundation grants is essential,
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience in effectively communicating key data, including presentations to senior management, board, or other outside partners,
- Ability to translate complex financial concepts to individuals at all levels including finance and non-finance managers,
- Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and unwavering commitment to Organization’s mission,
- Experience in a Big 4 Audit firm will be plus,
- Hands-on experience on taxation principles including Income Tax and GST,
- Should be highly proficient in MS Excel & PowerPoint,
- Should have managed large volume of transactions,
- Knowledge of direct and indirect taxation, FCRA administration and FEMA regulations,
- Knowledge of Company Laws.
