We are seeking a T/TA (Technical Training & Assistance) Project Coordinator to support Head Start which is a nationwide comprehensive child development program serving pregnant families and eligible children from birth to five. As per Section 640(a)(1)(C)(i) of the Head Start Act, amended on December 12, 2007, a portion of the Head Start allocation is reserved for training and technical assistance (TTA) activities to enhance service quality. This is an opportunity to improve local programs' capacity to deliver high-quality services, focusing on correcting findings from federal monitoring, school readiness, and staff training/professional development needs.The Project Coordinator is responsible for a wide variety of data management, analytical, and communication duties as part of a team engaged in ongoing assessment and quality improvement.
The duties of this position will be completed remotely until the office is opened to staff. Applicant must have access to internet and/or telephone for ongoing communications with team members. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.THIS POSITION IS PENDING CONTRACT AWARD
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop short-, intermediate-, and long-term TTA plans addressing OHS priorities and initiatives in conjunction with the Regional Office (RO).
- Coordinate with regional TTAs to ensure high-quality, responsive, and coordinated services, timely communication, and resolution of quality concerns.
- Incorporate quality assurance processes into all TTA reports and deliverables.
- Provide ongoing supervision and coaching to TTA staff, supporting their professional development and performance improvement.
- Assess TTA quality and determine the need for professional development by completing at least two formal observations each performance period.
- Assist in the timely and accurate completion of required OHS reports.
- Establish and implement systems for providing direct TTA to recipients through a coordinated team approach as well as processes to support children's health and safety.
- Utilize data to inform and improve TTA services in terms of quality, responsiveness, and effectiveness.
- Participate in OSHA's national, regional, state, and local workgroups and meetings.
E
ducation & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution.
- 3-5 years of extensive experience in early childhood education, training, and technical assistance.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and implement quality assurance processes.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
- Experience in staff supervision and professional development.
- Proficiency with basic computer programming, including the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
