Senior Accountant
About the Role:The Senior Accountant plays a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our organization by ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards. This position is responsible for preparing and analyzing financial statements, managing general ledger activities, and performing bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded. The Senior Accountant will also be involved in job costing and account reconciliation, providing insights that support strategic decision-making.
By collaborating with various departments, this role will help identify areas for financial improvement and efficiency. Ultimately, the Senior Accountant contributes to the overall financial integrity and operational success of the business services we provide.Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in accounting or finance roles, with a strong understanding of accounting principles.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or progress towards obtaining it.
- Experience with NetSuite ERP systems, saved searches, and report writing.
- Experience with inventory review and analysis
- Daily Cash forecasting
- Budget preparation and variance analysis
- Advanced excel functions
- Multibook journal entries for international GAAP Accounting
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with accounting principles.
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately in the general ledger.
- Manage journal entries and ensure proper documentation for all financial transactions.
- Conduct account reconciliations and analyze discrepancies to provide solutions.
- Assist in job costing and provide analytical support to various departments for budgeting and forecasting.
- Prepare global fixed assets, AS 842 leases, and inventory reconciliations.
