We seek a highly motivated and talented scientist to lead assay development efforts in support of drug development and personalized patient care. For this position, a strong background in biochemistry, chemistry, molecular biology or a related field, evidenced by peer-reviewed publications in professional journals, is expected. The successful candidate is expected to effectively develop and execute on innovative projects, publish exciting research in high quality journals, present at professional meetings and promote collaborative efforts to push precision translational sciences forward.
This successful individual is expected to be, or develop into, externally recognized expert in precision diagnostics and medicine. The Scientist/Sr Scientist will lead the development of the nucleic acid-based (DNA and RNA) liquid biopsy assays. He/she is expected to oversee and actively participate in the design and execution of the assays. The individual must possess strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and sound decision-making abilities. He or she should demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, adaptability to change, and effective communication across various channels. Additionally, the individual must proactively convey team goals and priorities with clarity while addressing challenges and updates across all levels of the organization.What You Will Get To Do:
- The scientist will be responsible for the development and optimization of the nucleic acid-based (DNA and RNA) liquid biopsy assays.
- Act as the technical project leader for multiple projects.
- Oversee and actively participate in the design and execution of the assay development and validation.
- Perform troubleshooting for methods and procedures.
- Effectively manage works, prepare SOPs and validation reports.
- Thrive in a highly interactive, fast-paced and dynamic team environment, and actively participate in internal/external collaboration.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure timely delivery of the technology transfer.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications And Experience To Be Successful In This Role:
- PhD in biochemistry, chemistry, molecular biology, or a related field, with over 1 year of work experience in an academic or industry laboratory setting required.
- Demonstrated hands-on expertise in both DNA/RNA sequencing methods and circulating tumor cell (CTC) assays.
- Expertise in developing chemical and enzymatic reactions for DNA/RNA modification and analysis.
- Experience with single-cell and spatial experiments is a plus.
- Highly motivated, proactive, and committed, with excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated initiative, strong attention to detail, flexibility, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, dynamic scientific environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
