About The Role
The CIX Commercial Intern will support the Commercial team in market research, customer engagement, and business development by analysing trends, managing leads, and contributing to go-to-market strategies. Additionally, it involves data analysis and tracking key performance metrics to enhance customer experiences and drive commercial success.
Responsibilities
- Conduct market research to understand broader customer expectations to support development in commercial pipeline
- Assist in customer mapping journeys across CIX’s portfolio of commercial products and services
- Qualifying leads making sure the marketing campaigns are successful
- Document customer needs and provide solutions to empower businesses to enhance their sustainability impact
- Assist with managing inbound leads which includes meeting support, on-boarding coordination, responding to general enquiries
- Maintain customer engagement updates in tracker and in CRM post rollout
- Aligning with the communications (work with other teams to achieve goals)
- Assisting new contract development and go-to-market strategies for new contract launches
- Analyzing competition, identifying partnership opportunities, and contributing to the overall strategy
- Conduct desktop research utilizing the Apollo platform to gather comprehensive insights on various companies, including but not limited to key stakeholders and industry analysis.
- Gather and analyse data across CIX’s businesses to track performance and market trends to inform business decisions
- Prepare reports to support data-driven decision making
- Supporting the development and implementation of new features and functionality on the platform
- Assist in process improvement initiatives, workflow enhancements, and internal documentation to optimize operations
- Keeping up-to-date on market trends and regulations related to carbon trading
Requirements
- Fast-learner, detail-oriented, an independent critical thinker and problem solver
- Independent with good project management skills
- A team player and has good interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Commercial minded
- Has strong MS Excel & PowerPoint skills
- Some knowledge of programming languages (Python) and technologies is a plus
- Has an adventurous spirit and a positive attitude towards learning about the carbon space
- Is interested in sustainability and keen to make an impact in tackling climate change
- Is a self-starter, able to work across the team and organization to get stuff done
- Able to commit a minimum duration of 6-months on a full-time basis
