American Battery Solutions is hiring a 12 - week summer intern in Lake Orion, Michigan!
Job Summary:
The 2025 Sales and Marketing Intern will work with the Sales, Marketing, and Business Development teams to collect and analyze industry and market data on the battery technical specifications, requirements, industry standards, and regulations targeting emerging market applications. The Sales and Marketing Intern will get exposure to the American Battery Solutions (ABS) social media program and will get an opportunity to shadow members of the sales, business development, and Marketing teams to learn about each of the different functions.
Responsibilities:
- During the internship, the candidate will work on a project to define and refine the company's product value propositions for our Alliance and ProLiance products and convert those value propositions into customer-facing PowerPoint presentations. The intern will be required to present the full value proposition presentation to the Sales & Marketing team at the end of their internship.
- Assist in the maintenance of competitive analysis.
- Assist with creating and posting on American Battery Solutions social media channels including but not limited to LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
- Assist with planning and executing for in-person tradeshows.
- Assist with the creation and maintenance of product literature including but not limited to product datasheets, user manuals, company brochures.
- Maintain databases, spreadsheets, and prepare presentations.
- Report the progress of tasks on a regular basis.
- Adhere to federal and state regulations.
- Adhere to all company policies, processes, and procedures.
- Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
- Predictable and reliable attendance.
Position Qualifications:
- Undergraduate student working towards a Marketing and Sales, Business Administration, or other relevant degree.
- Summer Internships require a minimum of 30 hours per week up to maximum of 40 hours a week.
- Interns require a minimum 3.0 GPA to enter the program.
- All Interns must be actively enrolled in school.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Software, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and marketing tools.
- Analytical skills: ability to gather and analyze data and develop fact-based recommendations.
- Project management skills: strong work ethic and ability to meet project deadlines.
