We’re searching for an experienced CFO to join our team of high-performing professionals and keep our finances positioned for continued success.
This position requires a strategic financial leader with a focus on process improvement, driving efficiency, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. The successful candidate will manage month-end and year-end close processes, lead the annual audit, and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization. Our CFO will play a key role in overseeing the operational and general accounting/financial functions for our Homebuilding Divisions and Subsidiaries.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Take responsibility (either directly or via staff) for all cash management, investments, insurance, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Comply with national and local financial requirements by studying existing and new legislation and taking appropriate action
- Research revenue opportunities and economic trends, analyze internal operations, and identify areas for cost reduction and process enhancement.
- Perform risk management through analysis of company liabilities and investments.
- Monitor business performance with tracking tools, establish corrective measures as needed, and prepare detailed reports for the Executive Team.
- Manage accounting personnel and oversee financial systems, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory entities (ex: Financial Accounting Standards Board, Internal Revenue Service).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA and CFA designation preferred.
- Proven experience as a CFO or similar role in a homebuilding or construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and audit processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and operational efficiency.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
