Job Summary:


This position will be responsible for providing exceptional client service in the water and wastewater utilities industry through various multi-discipline projects, such as strategic planning, asset management, organizational assessment, and related services. This senior level client facing role will be responsible for leading and coordinating business development efforts, partnering with other firm leaders to provide solutions to clients, and serving as Project Director on new and on-going management consulting projects.

Primary Responsibilities:


  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for management consulting engagements and serve as Project Director on new and existing management consulting projects.
  • Participate in business development and marketing activities, including but not limited to:
  • Participate in industry associations, conferences, seminars, and forums
  • Create and foster connections within the industry to develop business and learning opportunities
  • Collaborate with other Raftelis leaders to understand and pursue cross selling opportunities
  • Develop tailored proposals in response to competitive RFPs
  • Manage client engagements by fostering key partnerships with clients, leading and expanding the team and providing excellent service.
  • Analyze and implement industry’s best practices based on experience and research of market trends
  • Share expertise and skills to enhance the team's knowledge and capabilities

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 20 years of experience managing consulting projects for water and wastewater utility clients, with a proven track record of business development and exceeding sales targets
  • Critical thinking skills – the ability to formulate multiple solutions to problems, test hypotheses, and develop solutions based on analysis and client goals.
  • Strategic thinking skills – the ability to develop a business development strategy utilizing internal resources, industry connections, market research insights, etc.
  • Strong team-building skills, with a focus on fostering and maintaining Raftelis' work culture
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willing and able to travel overnight as needed

The base salary range for this position is $175k to $250k. Compensation depends on experience. Employees in this position may be eligible for an annual performance bonus depending on the firm’s yearly performance and the performance of the employee. The range for an annual performance bonus for this position is 0% to 50% of the base salary depending on individual and firm performance. Such a bonus is not guaranteed and is at the discretion of the firm.
