Director, Client Development & Sales
CIX is looking for an experienced Client Development & Sales Director to join our commercial team. This role is pivotal in driving the company’s success, shaping the future of the carbon market, and making a significant impact on the broader sustainability ecosystem.This role is based in Singapore or London, and reports to the Chief Commercial Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding the client portfolio, and increasing sales of CIX’s products across various industries and geographic markets.
Responsibilities:
- Create segment strategies and account plans that demonstrate both a deep understanding of client segment, their business strategies, and sustainability goals.
- Build and maximize individual client relationships, identifying opportunities to sell CIX’s products and services. This includes creating and executing account plans for both existing and new clients.
- Interrogate company ESG commitments and environmental footprints to formulate potential collaboration angles, estimate opportunity sizes, and prioritize opportunities.
- Represent CIX independently, engaging with Chief Sustainability Officers and senior executives from multinational companies and global firms across various industries
- Work with prospects and clients to uncover client pain points that would lead to commercial opportunity for CIX
- Grow and nurture a suite of client stakeholders that become advocates and long-time repeat purchasers, leading to attaining customer retention and wallet share targets
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in client development and sales, ideally within the environmental asset or sustainability sector.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in both new business development and account management.
- Strong negotiation skills with expertise in consultative sales, effectively guiding clients through long sales cycles to successful deal closure.
- Strong ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders, including C-suite executives, both internally and externally, to drive commercial outcomes
- Strong business acumen with experience developing segment strategies and go-to-market plans.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized, able to multitask, and adept at managing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and data-driven sales methodologies.
