If you like a fast-paced environment, a team structure that provides support, training, and development, then apply today! The Lead Mechanic will be apart of a team that performs maintenance and repairs on vehicles and equipment. Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs, including oil changes, tune-ups, tire inspections, brake checks, and spark plug replacements.
  • Conduct general overhaul and repair work on gasoline, diesel, and propane-powered engines, including automobiles, trucks, tractors, and other mechanical equipment, both on-site and in the garage.
  • Diagnose vehicle malfunctions and perform repairs according to manufacturer specifications, including work on engines, transmissions, clutches, suspensions, steering, fuel and ignition systems, electrical systems, brakes, and HVAC systems.
  • Replace essential vehicle components such as batteries, starters, lights, valves, hoses, belts, and alternators.
  • Perform test drives to verify that repairs are completed properly and ensure vehicles are operating safely.
  • Maintain shop cleanliness and ensure tools are returned to their proper locations.
  • Manage and maintain an inventory of replacement parts, tools, and equipment.
  • Inspect tools and equipment to ensure they are in proper working order.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and repair logs for all vehicles and equipment.
  • Repair cooling, fuel, electrical, and exhaust systems as needed.
  • Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance to enhance vehicle safety, productivity, and longevity.
  • Provide roadside service when necessary.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • Excellent mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using power and hand tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret service and repair manuals.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to complete assigned tasks efficiently.
  • Capability to respond to roadside service calls when required.

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in vehicle maintenance and repair required.

Position Type & Work Schedule:

  • Full-time, non-exempt position.
  • Typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, with flexibility required as job duties demand.
