Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations:
Process ownership for the quality aspects of new product development, qualification, and release to production.Working with the product development team starting in the planning phase, review the customer/market quality requirements and define the appropriate quality tools/process/checkpoints (APQP, safe launch, Zero Defect methodologies, qualification plan, etc) to be used to assure a successful launch.
Candidate Responsibilities:
New Product Introduction :
- Active participation in NPI core teams.
- Perform risk assessments.
- Provide technical direction for defectivity screen development, Design for Reliability, Design for Manufacturability, Zero Defect Initiatives and pre-qualification evaluations.
- Define qualification requirements.
- Assess product qualification risks and make approval decisions.
- Apply statistical methods for analyzing data to evaluate new products and processes.
- Lead product teams through quality issue resolution using problem solving methods.
Sustaining Product Support
- Interface with internal and external factories on reliability and quality issues.
- Support continuous improvement and cost reduction activities.
- Define qualification requirements for various manufacturing changes (fab, assembly, burn-in, test, transfer).
- Lead product teams through quality issue resolution.
Customer Support
- Support customers with technical reliability and quality consult.
- Work with customers to address product reliability and quality issues.
- Engage with customers on new products.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role you have:
- Bachelor or Master degree of Science in Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or equivalent.
- 5 years’ experience in the semiconductor industry or at an automotive manufacturer
- Knowledge of semiconductor IC manufacturing and assembly
- Knowledge about reliability theories & methods, the Semiconductor manufacturing processes and the statistical data analysis.
- Knowledge of 8D problem solving methods (8D, DOE, 3x5whys) and FMEA.
Furthermore, you are:
- Persistent in problem solving in a dynamic environment working in multi
- Fluent in English language (Verbal and written),
- Demonstrating communication & coordination skills to manage internal and external stakeholders
- Autonomous, Creative and you are taking initiatives
- Flexibility to adjust to change and multiple ongoing issues in a fast-paced,customer-focused environment.
