Our client is looking for a HR Manager to join their growing
constructioncompany. This is a long-term and onsite role.POSITION SUMMARY:The Human Resource Manager will oversee all HR functions, including hiring, interviewing, compensation, benefits, leave, employee relations, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Advises department managers on Company policies related to equal employment, compensation, and benefits.
- Ensures compliance with federal and state employment laws.
- Develops and maintains the Paylocity HR system to meet management needs.
- Keeps job descriptions current and compliant with relevant laws.
- Ensures compliance with federal I-9 verification standards.
- Advises management on resolving employee relations issues.
- Manages the background check program and ensures employee compliance with insurance regulations.
- Plans and monitors new employee orientation to promote positive attitudes toward Company goals.
- Manages insurance, benefits, and personnel information, including hires, promotions, salary increases, and government reporting.
- Identifies opportunities for employee development, training, and advancement.
- Coordinates management involvement in interviews, hiring, terminations, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions.
- Prepares employee separation notices, conducts exit interviews, and assists with retention strategies.
- Collaborates with management on succession planning.
- Investigates accidents, files workers' comp reports, and liaises with insurance providers and medical professionals.
- Administers employee benefits (401K, healthcare, ESOP).
- Manages company insurance, renewals, and coordinates with accounting.
- Leads annual ESOP administration in collaboration with Controller and CEO, including census data and allocation of participant statements.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- 5+ years of HR management experience preferred.
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certifications highly desired.
- Prior experience in commercial construction or a related industry required.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (reading, writing, and speaking).
