Our knowledge team is in search of a Learning and Technical Content Developer with experience in creating training and technical materials. Your output will consist of both written content (knowledge base articles) and video content (LMS and individual videos).
We are looking for an individual with a strong technical foundation, who is comfortable working both independently and collaboratively with content creators and subject matter experts.The Learning and Technical Content Developer Will Be Responsible for The Following:
- Flexibly jump between roles in documentation and training content depending on team needs
- Document product features to help our clients navigate and use NetSapiens products and customizations
- Author scripts and utilize digital tools to edit instructional videos
- Create engaging, easy-to-understand content such as user guides, knowledge base articles, instructional scripts, how-tos, and step-by-step collateral
- Demonstrate the ability to quickly learn and interpret a variety of technical concepts
- Take ownership of LMS administrative tasks
- Interview subject matter experts to expand on and clarify technical content
- Collaborate within a small team, openly offering and receiving feedback
- Verify content via exploratory testing of system functionality in relation to specific or adjacent areas of the Operator Management Portal and call applications
The Ideal Learning and Technical Content Developer Should Possess the Following:
- 2+ years of experience in education or training
- 2+ years of experience in editing/proofreading and technical writing, copywriting, or equivalent.
- Ability to understand complex concepts and articulate them in easy-to-understand writing
- Experience with Word Processing and PowerPoint (or similar)
- Experience with basic audio and video editing applications, specifically Audacity, Camtasia, and course Authoring Tools preferred
- Experience testing and exploring digital products to assess and document behavior
- Experience with documentation versioning, revision control and tracking
- Prior experience creating documentation within cloud hosted documentation/LMS systems preferred
- Specific in-depth knowledge of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) business practices is preferred but not required
