We are seeking a strategic and results-driven
Director of Planning to join our executive team and contribute to the continued success and expansion of C3 Industries I High Profile Cannabis Shops. As the Director of Planning, you will play a crucial role in formulating and implementing the company's long-term product plans, driving business growth, enhancing operational efficiency, and optimizing resource allocation. This position requires the ability to anticipate market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes, and reports directly to the Vice President of Buying & Planning.

JOB DUTIES:


Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute long-term product plans aligned with the company's vision, mission, and objectives.
  • Lead the development of product planning, buying, and inventory allocation for our retail business strategies that capitalize on market opportunities and strengthen C3 Industries I High Profile Cannabis Shops competitive position.
  • Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, consumer preferences, and regulatory developments within the cannabis industry.
  • Utilize this information to provide actionable insights that drive decision-making and market entry strategies.
  • Collaborate with operational leaders to improve processes and streamline workflows throughout the organization.
  • Implement best practices to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and optimize supply chain operations.
  • Stay informed about cannabis regulations in various states and ensure the company's compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Proactively address potential compliance issues and risks.
  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance metrics to assess the success and effectiveness of business initiatives.
  • Regularly report to the executive team on progress and outcomes.
  • Build and lead a high-performing Planning team. Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Responsible for managing the Merchandise Planning Team.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA, MSc) is preferred.
  • Proven experience (8+ years) in product planning, allocation, determining margins, inventory management, working capital turnover, business development, and operational management.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing plans that drive business growth and expansion.
  • Excellent financial acumen and experience in financial planning and analysis.
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable strategies.
  • Exceptional leadership abilities, capable of inspiring and motivating teams to achieve goals.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills to convey complex ideas to diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving industry, with a high level of adaptability and resilience.
