What’s The Role About:


As the Retail Marketing Manager, you will drive strategic initiatives to strengthen Puffco’s presence in dispensaries and smoke shops. You’llidentify new opportunities to grow the retail channel, collaborating with teams to deploy impactful marketing programs. Your focus will include in-store merchandising, sales associate engagement, consumer incentives, and account partnerships, working cross-functionally with Sales, Creative, and Marketing to drive brand awareness, advocacy, and sales.

Major Responsibilities:


  • Store Merchandising & Consumer Experience
  • Develop and coordinate merchandising strategies for dispensaries and smoke shops.
  • Work with Creative and Sales teams to improve in-store displays and consumer experience.

  • Salesperson Education & Industry Engagement
  • Lead training programs and engagement strategies for budtenders and retail staff.
  • Oversee sales associate incentive programs to drive product advocacy.
  • Optimize outreach and incentives beyond sales associates to engage other industry partners.

  • Incentive Planning & Consumer Promotions
  • Develop and manage promotions and sales incentives for key retail moments (Black Friday, 4/20, other campaigns).
  • Optimize sales contests and giveaways to drive sell-through and retailer engagement.
  • Strategize and execute merch plans to support channel incentives and engagement.

  • Retail Account Partnerships & Expansion
  • Strengthen relationships with key retail accounts to amplify Puffco through their programs.
  • Support International market expansion, adapting domestic retail marketing strategies.

Requirements:


  • 5-7 years of experience in retail, trade, or channel marketing, preferably in cannabis, lifestyle, or smoke/vape industries. 
  • Strategic thinker with experience in merchandising, sales training, and retail incentives. 
  • Strong collaborator with Sales, Creative, and Marketing teams. 
  • Data-driven, with a focus on analyzing and optimizing program performance. 
  • Passionate about Puffco’s mission and the evolving cannabis industry.

This hybrid role is based out of our Los Angeles HQ and requires 2-3 days per week in office. The compensation range for this role is $120-130k.
