We are looking for a Lead Backend Engineer who will-Drive backend development for high-scale, distributed systems using
Golang.
-Design, build, and maintain APIs, microservices, and core platform components.-Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability.-Collaborate with product, frontend, and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.-Mentor junior developers and contribute to architectural decisions.-Ensure best practices around code quality, testing, CI/CD, and security.
The ideal candidate has
- 6+ years of software engineering and product delivery experience.
- Demonstrated success in software development, having built complex products.
- Proficiency in one or more general programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python, Go), with the ability to quickly learn new coding languages as required.
- Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and strong command of object-oriented principles.
- Expertise in building scalable and high-performance systems, including caching strategies, load balancing, and optimising database queries.
- Possess a unique spark that sets you apart, along with the ability to think creatively and adapt quickly.
- Quick learner, capable of acquiring new coding languages efficiently.
- Comfortable collaborating in a team that navigates ambiguity on a daily basis.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of clearly articulating complex technical concepts.
- Possess multi-dimensional skills that contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
