Your Impact:


Handshake is looking for a dynamic and experienced Sr. Recruiter, Product & Design to join our talent acquisition team. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, attracting, and hiring top-tier product management and design talent to help scale our organization. You will partner closely with hiring managers, develop innovative recruitment strategies, and ensure a seamless candidate experience.We are heavily scaling both our Product and Product Design teams and have aggressive hiring goals to hit.  If you are ready to take on this challenge we are ready to hear from you!  This role requires three days a week in the office (Mon, Weds, Thurs) and is located in our San Francisco office at 225 Bush St (right off Montgomery BART).  

Your Role:


  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of product & design talent for current and future hiring needs.
  • Utilize creative and proactive sourcing strategies to attract passive candidates.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for product management and design roles, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and offer negotiation.
  • Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, ideal candidate profiles, and effective hiring strategies.
  • Provide a best-in-class candidate experience, ensuring clear communication and a smooth process.
  • Leverage data and metrics to track hiring performance and continuously optimize recruiting strategies.
  • Represent the company at design and product industry events, conferences, and meetups to build brand awareness and attract top talent.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and employer branding teams to develop engaging content and outreach strategies for design and product communities.

Your Experience:


  • 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with at least 2+ years experience supporting Product and/or Design teams.  Previous staffing agency background a plus!
  • Experience recruiting for high-growth startups or tech companies.
  • Successful at engaging and closing candidates at a high volume
  • Demonstrated ability to use data to design recruiting plans, optimize our interview processes, and communicate with hiring managers and other stakeholders
  • Working knowledge of ATS systems and pipeline metrics (Greenhouse/Gem preferred)
  • Outstanding organizational and follow-up skills, strong time-management abilities
  • Great judgment and a history of working with highly confidential information 

Compensation range


  • $162K - $180k

For cash compensation, we set standard ranges for all 

U.S.-based roles


 based on function, level, and geographic location, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies. In order to be compliant with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including geographic location as well as candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
