About the Role:


As the Finance Assistant, you will report to the Junior Management Accountant. Your role will cover accounts payable, accounts receivable, general finance and admin items. In this varied role, you will have exposure to multiple areas of YLD’s business and will be an integral member of the Finance Team.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: 


Accounts Payable

  • Processing purchase invoices
  • Processing expenses
  • Processing credit card receipts
  • Chasing and reconciling supplier statements
  • Setting up payment runs
  • Posting AP payments

Accounts Receivable

  • Raising sales invoices
  • Reconciling the accounts receivable ledger
  • Liaising with customers on payments
  • Posting receipts

General Finance Items

  • Posting bank items
  • Balance sheet reconciliations

Administrative items

  • Assist with ad hoc office items

You'll have the following skills and experiences:


  • Preferably past experience in a similar Finance/Office environment;
  • Working knowledge of Excel skills;
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Be able to work to deadlines and meet targets;
  • Good organisational skills with attention to detail;
  • Be a team player, but also able to work independently on tasks;
  • Be a genuine believer in fairness, diversity and inclusion.

  • A good communicator, comfortably speaking and writing in English and Portuguese.
  • Someone who always looking for ways to improve and develop yourself.
