This intern will play a key role in supporting the security risk and compliance function, with a specific focus on leveraging AI technologies to streamline RFPs (Requests for Proposals), vendor assessments, and security questionnaires.This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience at the intersection of cybersecurity, AI, and business operations in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Assist in the review, preparation, and response to client/vendor RFPs and security assessments.
- Use and help refine AI-driven tools and models to automate and enhance the quality of security questionnaire responses.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (legal, sales, IT, engineering) to gather and validate data for compliance documentation.
- Maintain a repository of up-to-date, vetted security content to support scalable and consistent responses.
- Support internal audits, policy updates, and control mapping exercises related to frameworks like SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR.
- Identify opportunities for improving processes around information security communication and documentation.
- Stay informed about AI trends in cybersecurity, risk, and compliance.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong written communication skills, with attention to detail in technical and business contexts.
- Interest in AI/ML technologies, especially for automation of business processes.
- Familiarity with GRC frameworks and security best practices is a plus.
- Experience with tools like OneTrust, ServiceNow, JIRA, Microsoft Purview, or similar platforms is beneficial.
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently in a hybrid or remote team environment.
