Job Description:
Responsible for troubleshooting and fixing equipment and facility issues, such as electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems. Completing assignments and carrying out routine maintenance on a wide variety of industrial machinery including, but not limited to CNC machines, HVAC, powered industrial lifts, 3-phase and single-phase, high and low voltage AC and DC electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and general maintenance tasks
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical and mechanical work required for maintenance and repair of CNC machines, industrial machinery, and building facilities.
- Diagnose CNC machine malfunctions and repair.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual P.M.’s
- Perform day-to-day tasks and special projects
- Perform other work as required and assigned in support of general maintenance activity.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must be mechanically inclined, self-motivated, organized, trustworthy, multitasker, and able to work and complete tasks alone or in a team environment.
- Considerable knowledge and experience in electricity, HVAC, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and mechanical systems including but not limited to CNC machines, building and facility repairs.
- Must be proficient with dial indicators, micrometers, calipers, gauges, electric multimeters, hand tools, power tools, powered industrial lifts, welding, and torch equipment.
- Must be proficient in reading and comprehending electrical schematics, blueprints, plans, models, and sketches.
- Broad working knowledge of all plant equipment including setup procedures on production equipment such as lathes, mills, drills, hones, grinders, pumps, cranes, and all machinery in the plant.
- Ability to work from verbal or written instructions, make judgment calls, be quick on assessments, and have good problem-solving skills.
- Follow all lockout/tagout procedures.
Education and/or Training:
- High school diploma or GED
- Prefer a minimum of two (2) years of industrial maintenance, and machine maintenance experience.
- Extensive Electrical and Mechanical Experience
- At least (1) year of general facility maintenance
- Considerable knowledge of the tools, equipment, materials, methods, and standard practices of shop mechanics
- Preferably have an electrical degree/certificate or CNC certificate
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
- Ability to stand for 8+ hour shifts.
- Lift/carrying/moving up to 50+ pounds. Push, pull, bend, and twist upper and lower body. Extensive use of hands to grasp and adjust machinery.
- Ability to use industrial aerial lifts and industrial-powered lifts
- Ability to work in high areas or confined areas.
- Work in cold and hot climates
- Work overtime and weekends
