About the role:
Accompany Health is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our Finance Team. As the Staff Accountant, you will report directly to the Senior Accounting Manager and play a key role in ensuring the integrity of our financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the overall accounting operations of the organization. Responsibilities will include:
- Support the day-to-day accounting operations of multiple legal entities, including accounts payable, treasury and general ledger
- Review, match and reconcile daily bank transactions
- Manage vendor creation and ensure A/P invoices are processed accurately and timely, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures
- Oversee corporate credit card compliance, ensuring receipts and documentation align with company standards.
- Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and timely
- Assist with the monthly financial closes, including creating monthly journal entries and performing account reconciliations
- Support preparation of consolidated financial statements and management reporting in accordance with company policies and U.S. GAAP
- Assist with requests from external auditors and tax advisors during audits and tax filings, providing support and documentation as required
- Assist in maintaining and enhancing internal controls, policies, and procedures and the related documentation and record-keeping compliance

Desired skills and experience:
- Required
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- 0-2 years of accounting experience
- In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- Experience preparing complex audit schedules
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Ability to track and manage several projects simultaneously
- Exceptionally motivated, organized and detail-oriented; team player with a willingness to help where required
- Preferred
- 1 year of experience in a top accounting firm
- CPA (or actively working towards)
- NetSuite experience
- Payroll experience, including multi-entity payroll and managing both hourly and salaried employees
- Healthcare services knowledge or familiarity
$65,000 - $75,000 a yearThe base salary range for this full-time position is $65,000-$75,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
