Job Description Summary
The Military DoD SkillBridge program is an opportunity for Service members to gain valuable civilian work experience through specific industry training, apprenticeships, or internships during the last 180 days of service. SkillBridge connects Service members with industry partners in real-world job experiences under Dept. of Defense Instruction 1322.29. Separating Service members can be granted up to 180 days of permissive duty to train full-time with approved industry partners after receiving written authorization from their unit commander (first O-4/Field Grade commander in chain of command).
Aretum, as a SkillBridge partner, offers real-world training and experience in high-demand defense and intelligence roles. Participants continue to receive military pay and benefits throughout the program.
Job Description
This posting is for a Q3 (July–September) 2025 SkillBridge internship for the role of Collections Manager in an Air Operations Center (AOC). Internships may extend based on command approval.
Essential Functions:
Participants will complete a structured 106-day training program including:
- AOC structure, air operations planning, and intelligence fundamentals
- Intelligence analysis techniques, SIGINT/COMINT, and reporting protocols
- Scenario-based simulations and advanced intelligence support
- On-the-job training, mentorship, and real-time operational support

- Active-duty military personnel eligible for SkillBridge
- Command approval required prior to internship start
Desired Skills / Experience:
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Interest in air operations, intelligence, or defense support
- Ability to collaborate in a fast-paced environment
