What It Means to be a Reingold Video Intern
Reingold is looking for an enthusiastic self-starter to collaborate on video projects. You’ll be joining an award-winning video team that has shaped the marketing efforts of high-profile clients in the nonprofit, commercial, and public sectors, including the NFL, U.S. Census Bureau, American Cancer Society, and Veterans Health Administration.Reingold is seeking an intern-level video producer who can support and translate creative requests into compelling visual narratives that drive audience action.
Our interns typically support all stages of video production, from concept to completion. Preproduction and production duties may include:
- Equipment maintenance
- Coordinating and planning shoots
- Transporting and setting up equipment
- Operating equipment
- Conducting field-based video productionsPostproduction duties may include:
- Reviewing footage for video assembly
- Logging footage
- Audio adjustment
- Color correction
- Editing rough and final cuts
- Closed captioning
- Formatting and exporting video
- Up to 10% of travel for photoshoots In addition to video production responsibilities, you may be assigned motion graphics tasks based on your experience and interest.
We’re looking for interns with the following qualifications and skills:
- Strong understanding of Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop).
- Familiarity with best practices for social media video production and formatting.
- Experience translating written ideas, concepts, and scripts into dynamic videos.
- Video production skills, including nonlinear video editing.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Resourcefulness, drive, and ability to be a team player.
- Comfort with receiving and implementing feedback.
- Proficiency in following processes and procedures.
- Ability to organize production files meticulously and consistently.
- Ability to communicate clearly and confidently, orally and in writing.
- Familiarity with various digital video formats and codecs.
Note: Please add a link or attach work samples or collections from your portfolio. Bonus points for experience on video production sets (as a production assistant or equivalent); with Maya, Cinema 4D, 3D modeling, and digital illustration; and with Slack, Monday.com, and Atlassian collaboration tools.Internships are full-time (40 hours) during the standard workweek and pay an hourly rate of $20. The internship class begins on Thursday, June 5, and runs through Friday, November 21. Core hours during the internship are 9 a.m.
to 5:30 p.m. Eastern time. This internship requires five in-office days (Monday – Friday) at our office in Alexandria, Virginia.This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
