Full-timeDescriptionMaxCyte is seeking an experienced and passionate Market Development Manager to support and enable distributor-driven sales growth in China. This strategic role involves providing extensive pre-sales technical support, distributor training, market development, and marketing activities to drive indirect revenue through distributor channels. Meanwhile, the candidate will work closely with MaxCyte China team and China distributors on pre-sales technical support and develop Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to fuel the business growth in key existing and emerging markets.

The successful candidate will leverage deep knowledge of the biotechnology sector and China’s life sciences ecosystem to strengthen distributor capabilities, foster key opinion leader relationships, and execute localized strategies that accelerate MaxCyte’s market presence.

Job Responsibilities:


Working in collaboration with the China Country Manager, Regional Sales Manager, Field Application Support team, Marketing team, and other key company stakeholders:1. Distributor Enablement: Provide comprehensive training, pre-sales technical support, and sales tools to empower distributor sales teams, improving their effectiveness and driving indirect sales revenue.2. Strategic Market Development: Develop and implement localized strategies to maximize distributor-driven market penetration, aligning closely with distributors to identify growth opportunities in cell therapy, gene editing, antibody development, protein production and drug discovery markets.3.

Lead Generation Support: Collaborate closely with distributors to identify, nurture, and convert high-value prospects into long-term customers.4. Localized Marketing and Campaigns: Execute targeted marketing activities such as product launches, technical workshops, webinars, conferences, and localized content creation (white papers, application notes, case studies) to boost brand awareness and product adoption.5. KOL Relationship Building: Work with the Country Manager to establish and nurture strategic relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to strengthen MaxCyte’s position in the China biotech market by leveraging distributor networks, key industry relationships, and regional insights.6. Collaborative Projects: Drive and support collaborative initiatives with strategic industry partners to showcase MaxCyte technology and applications and enhance market adoption.Requirements

  • Education: Master’s degree or higher in life sciences, biotechnology, immunology, or related fields.
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years experience in distributor enablement, pre-sales technical support, market development, or marketing within life sciences, biotechnology, or biopharma industries. Background in cell therapy, gene editing, or antibody therapeutics preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills; ability to adapt quickly to fast-paced, dynamic environments.
  • Language: Fluent in Mandarin Chinese; proficient in English (written and spoken).
  • Travel Requirement: Up to 50% domestic and international travel required to support distributors and market development activities.
  • Location: Shanghai preferred; exceptional candidates in Beijing, Guangzhou, or Shenzhen will also be considered.
