RDTS is seeking a Program Analyst to support The Government Publishing Office (GPO) in Laurel, MD. The Government Publishing Office (GPO) keeps America informed as the official, digital, and secure source for producing, preserving, and distributing official Federal Government publications and information products for Congress, Federal agencies, and the American public.The Program Analyst is responsible for providing essential administrative and operational support to the analytical team. This role includes managing documentation, coordinating research activities, assisting with data compilation, and facilitating communication within the department.
The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation, formatting, and organization of analytical reports, presentations, and supporting materials.
- Plans, develop, and conducts program analyses of moderate scale and impact, concerning all aspects of current or projected operating programs for actual or potential effectiveness in achieving planned goals and objectives.
- Develops, maintains, and monitors projects, and integrated reporting system(s) affecting program(s) throughout the activity.
- Communicates information to supervisor for effective evaluation of program operations and milestones.
- Analyzes, extracts, summarizes, and identifies significant trends and issues. Forecasts and estimates program requirements and prepares programmatic reports, justifications, charts, graphs, statistical and narrative data, etc., for presentations and briefings.
- Maintain and update databases, ensuring accurate and timely entry of relevant data.
- Support document control procedures, ensuring proper versioning and accessibility for team members.
- Gather and compile relevant data from various sources to support analyst projects.
- Assist in summarizing findings and preparing reports for internal and external use.
- Organize and maintain research materials, ensuring efficient retrieval when needed.
- Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, and record minutes for analyst team discussions.
- Coordinate travel arrangements, logistics, and reimbursements for analyst-related activities.
- Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned to enhance department efficiency overall.
RequirementsEducation:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of administrative support experience, preferably in analytical research.
Skills:
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and database management.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
- Knowledge of research methods, data analysis tools, or visualization platforms is desirable.
