We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Planner to join our pharmaceutical manufacturing team. The Production Planner will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing production schedules to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality pharmaceutical products. This role will require close collaboration with various departments, including procurement, production, quality assurance, and logistics, to ensure production goals are met efficiently and in compliance with regulatory standards.RequirementsKey Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed production schedules, ensuring optimal resource utilization and adherence to timelines.
- Monitor and adjust production plans to address changes in demand, production delays, or raw material availability.
- Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
- Collaborate with production supervisors and managers to ensure production targets and quality standards are met.
- Analyze production data to identify trends, potential issues, and opportunities for process improvements.
- Communicate production plans, updates, and issues to all relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory requirements during production planning and execution.
- Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock while minimizing excess inventory and associated costs.
- Maintain accurate records of production schedules, material usage, and equipment maintenance.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes and increase efficiency.
- Work with quality assurance teams to address any quality-related issues during the production process.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5-10 years) as a production planner, preferably within a pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and inventory management.
- Familiarity with GMP, FDA regulations, and other industry standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in using production planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems).
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A commitment to maintaining a high standard of quality and safety in all aspects of production.
Preferred Skills:
- Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or similar.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Knowledge of regulatory guidelines and standards specific to the pharmaceutical industry.
Working Conditions:
- Work environment includes exposure to chemical materials and high noise areas.
- Must have a high consciousness for personnel and equipment safety.
- May be required to use various personal protective equipment (PPE) including respirators, gloves, safety glasses, and protective clothing.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds routinely.
- Frequent reaching, bending, twisting, turning, and climbing.
- Ability to walk, stand, and climb stairs for extended periods.
- Work in various positions such as walking, standing, or sitting for prolonged durations.
- Exposure to indoor factory conditions and outdoor environments with varying temperatures.
