Job Description
Crown is hiring a Part-Time Apprentice Electronics Technician who will be responsible for learning and understanding electrical code through the NEC. The Technician will be assembling, installing, maintaining, and testing electrical equipment while maintaining a safe work environment at all times.Although each installation is unique, typical duties include: ·
- Responsible for assembling, installing, maintaining, and testing electrical equipment and wiring systems in commercial, industrial, and large multi-family settings.
- Prepare work area for equipment installation.
- Install or assist in installing electrical components.
- Connect wiring and equipment per code and job specifications.
- Operate equipment only if trained and certified (e.g., man lifts, excavators, skid steers).
- Set up and operate tools such as power pullers and cable vacuum systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints and electrical drawings for proper installation.
- Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances per drawings or plans.
- Secure and lock up equipment after use.
- Proven track record of delivering safe projects on schedule.
Able to:
- Stand, sit, or crouch in one position for long periods.
- Lift and move objects up to 75 lbs.
- Move objects up to 350 lbs. using a hand truck or pallet jack.
- Read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
- Occasionally perform assigned work under severe time restraints.
- Work with minimal to no supervision.
- Work non-standard hours based on site requirements.
- Climb and work at heights exceeding 60 feet.
- Willing to travel 100%.
- Team player with the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must be able to work in all elements, including heat, cold, and rain, depending on job location and time of year.
Rate: $20.00 - $41.00/hr on W2
Qualifications
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- High School Diploma
- 1 year of related experience or at least two (2) years of coursework in electronic
- Proven experience with hand-tools & PPE
- U.S. Citizenship with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Able to pass a Government background check
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Experience working in FAA facilities
- Electronics/Radio experience
- Antennae installation experience
- Asbestos Certificates
- CPR Certificate
- Competent Tower Climber/Rescue Certificate
