We are looking for a Quality Inspection Supervisor to join our team. The goal of this role at Wisk is to effectively manage, build and grow a world class inspection team. You will be part of the Quality Organization which validates the aircraft build meets engineering requirements while effectively partnering with our production counterparts.Due to the nature of the work required for this position, this is an onsite opportunity. You will be required to work from our Mountain View office.
In this role you will:
- Manage an existing inspection team to successfully navigate daily inspection activities.
- Develop the existing team members and potentially support hiring additional team members.
- Partner effectively with the production and engineering teams to work through abstract problems encountered on the production floor.
- Participate in strategy sessions with the direct manager on how to build out the inspection team to support the company's growth.
- Represent the Quality Inspection Team during decision making meetings.
What you will do:
- You will support your inspection team, production personnel and engineering personnel to develop smarter approaches to inspect the product in an efficient manner.
- You will help support problem solving activities that arise from the nature of research and development activity with a novel product.
- You will help coordinate inspection support to high priority areas, while still balancing out the overall production plan needs.
- As a Quality Inspection Supervisor, you will help define the future inspection capabilities needed to support high rate production.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 8 years of related experience within a manufacturing environment with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree
- 5+ years working within the aerospace industry
- Previous supervisor or lead experience
- Able to positively influence team members to complete assigned tasks or projects.
- Ability to ensure the quality control system is compliant to released Wisk process documents.
- Experience developing and training employees on inspection techniques, various inspection tools and quality processes
- Able to build inspection capacity plans designed to support production schedule(s)
- Able to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Open to occasional travel but typically less than 10%
$146,625 - $172,500 a year
