Mechanical Team Leader

We are seeking a Mechanical Team Leader to lead file reviews and third-party administrator (TPA) reviews within our auto warranty team. This role will also collaborate with the Quality and Training teams to design and optimize troubleshooting guides and workflow processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive diagnostics, repair processes, and claims adjudication, paired with the ability to drive efficiently and accuracy across teams.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • High school diploma and at least two years college or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • ASE Certification (Automotive Service Excellence) or similar credentials is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in automotive repair, service writing or warranty claims
  • 1 year of leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, diagnostic procedures, and repair industry standards.

Primary Job Functions:


  • Conduct file reviews to ensure accurate and timely claims adjudication, adhering to warranty terms and company policies.
  • Perform TPA reviews.
  • Identify trends and discrepancies in claim approvals/denials and provide recommendations for process improvements.
  • Partner with the Quality and Training teams to design and update troubleshooting guides and workflow processes that support claims adjudication and improve team efficiency.
  • Serve as a technical expert for mechanical claims, offering guidance on repair procedures and coverage decisions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve disputes and ensure compliance with warranty guidelines.
  • Assist in audits and quality control to enhance claims processing accuracy and reduce errors.
  • Provide feedback and coaching to improve team performance in claims handling and TPA interactions.
  • Stay updated on automotive repair trends, manufacturer guidelines, and industry best practices.
