Job Summary:We are excited to be seeking an experienced Progress OE software developer to join our team. Working within a cross-functional, multi-disciplinary team, the role requires an understanding of the full software development life cycle. With a focus on standards and delivery, the ideal candidate will seek improvement in product and performance whilst maintaining good solutions and relationships for our customers and internal teams. This could be a hybrid role with our office location in Chorley, North West England.
Main role and responsibilities:- Complete software development activities ensuring compliance and service delivery- Provide technical advice in terms of products and technologies- Provide 3rd line development support to our Customer Service and Quality teamsThe ideal candidate will have:- +5 years’ experience working in Progress OpenEdge (GUI, OE.Net, Appserver, PASOE, v12.8)- An understanding of the entire software development life cycle- An understanding of various software development principles- Proven record of close customer engagement and team-centric approach- Knowledge of computer science fundamentals and their application in practice- Experience with SDLC development tools, e.g.
