Community Programs drive product adoption, which leads to renewal and expansion; and turn customers into brand advocates.

Summary


We are seeking a Community Programs Manager to support our community initiatives, including Pendo’s advocacy program, global user group program, and peer-to-peer engagement spaces such as our Slack workspace and online discussion forum.The Community Programs Manager plays a vital role in fostering strong relationships between Pendo and its customer community. The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating meaningful experiences, cultivating a sense of belonging, and driving engagement within the community.

This role is essential in ensuring our customers feel connected, supported, and empowered to succeed with Pendo.

Role responsibilities 


Advocacy Program Management:

  • Identify and nurture customer advocates.
  • Create incentive programs to recognize and reward active community contributors.
  • Collaborate with marketing and customer success to amplify customer voices via customer stories, webinars, blog posts, and speaking opportunities.
  • Track and measure advocacy efforts to assess impact and identify growth opportunities.
  • Act as the internal and external champion for advocacy, promoting its value across teams, serving as a key resource for customer advocates, and driving internal awareness and engagement.

Pendo User Group (PUG) management:

  • Onboard new user group leaders and promote local chapters.
  • Manage event logistics, including venues, food, and beverage services.
  • Handle event pages and reminders using Splash.
  • Review feedback, recommend improvements, and share outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Customer Success to maximize registrations.

Community management:
  • Oversee the community moderation by regularly reviewing questions and comments, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Work with partners in Marketing to promote relevant content, events, and product updates to drive awareness and engagement.
  • Train new Discussion Forum moderators on effective community engagement, responsibilities, and expectations.
  • Organize and report on themes and trends to inform marketing strategies, support content creation, and identify opportunities for targeted campaigns.

Minimum qualifications


  • Strong written communication and presentation skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks while staying organized and efficient.
  • Self-motivated, independent, quick-thinker.
  • Interest in, and aptitude for, learning new tools and software. 

Preferred qualifications


  • Minimum 3-5 years experience managing social media platforms or online communities.
  • Familiarity with customer advocacy, community management, and event management.
  • Undergraduate degree in communications, marketing, advertising, public relations, media studies, business and/or related fields.
  • Familiarity with Pendo and our core personas.
  • Experience using Splash, Cvent, or other event management tools.

Compensation


Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of many compensation, benefits and other reward opportunities we provide.The expected base salary range for this role is USD $84,000 - $107,000Individual pay rate decisions, including offers made within and over the expected salary range, are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company.#LI-KW1
