Position Summary: 


As the Director of Quality Assurance, your role is to elevate and enforce quality standards across all facets of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). This position leads the strategic advancement of manual, automation, performance, pre- and post-production testing, guided by rigorous metrics and operational excellence. You will be instrumental in driving a quality-first culture throughout Actabl’s products and development teams.

Essential Duties: 


  • Drive excellence in product quality across Actabl by implementing testing strategies and quality frameworks.
  • Lead cross-functional alignment with stakeholders throughout the SDLC to ensure QA integration and transparency.
  • Design, implement, and evolve robust QA strategies involving manual, automation, and load testing.
  • Build and lead a distributed QA team with a focus on scalability, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Partner with engineering, product, and executive leadership to develop and measure key quality metrics.
  • Champion continuous improvement and coach the team toward long-term strategic goals.
  • Establish and monitor key quality metrics (e.g., Defect Removal Efficiency, Mean Time to Detect), using them to drive continuous improvements and report progress to leadership.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications: 


  •  8+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
  •  Proven success managing large-scale QA teams and initiatives.
  • Expertise in both manual and automated testing strategies.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Experience working with executive stakeholders across departments.
  • Experience with QA tools and frameworks such as Selenium, JIRA, TestRail, or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and how QA fits into DevOps practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

Work Environment: 


This is a hybrid position, allowing for flexibility in work location. The role requires a reliable internet connection and a suitable home office setup to ensure productivity and effective communication.Travel: Occasional travel may be required for team meetings, conferences, or training sessions. This could include both in-state and out-of-state travel.Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license may be required for travel purposes.Equipment: The company will provide necessary equipment, including a laptop, monitor, and any additional peripherals required to perform job duties effectively.
