Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Senior Project Manager to support a critical contract focused on monitoring logistics for the Office of Head Start (OHS). The Senior Project Manager will work closely with the Project Director to ensure the successful execution of all contract deliverables, including the development of the OHS monitoring national schedule, recruitment and management of review teams, and the execution of various types of reviews. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for day-to-day operations of the project. They implement the strategic vision set by the Project Director and ensure that the project stays on track in terms of scope, timeline, and budget.
THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the execution of the project according to the plan, making sure timelines and milestones are met.
- Lead a team of project managers and staff, ensuring clear communication and coordination among all team members.
- Monitor project performance, addressing issues such as proposed scope changes, delays, and resource shortages.
- Handle budget management and ensure financial resources are being used efficiently.
- Act as a key point of contact for the client’s project representatives.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 5-7 years of experience in project management, preferably in a government or non-profit setting. Experience with Head Start programs is highly desirable.
- Skills: Project Management Expertise, Communication Skills, Financial Acumen, Risk Management, Team Leadership
- Knowledge: Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and the Head Start Act.
