About the Role:
The Power Equipment Operator plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by managing inventory and facilitating the efficient flow of goods. This position is responsible for accurately receiving, storing, and distributing products while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. The Power Equipment Operator will also be tasked with keeping detailed records of inventory levels and assisting in the preparation of shipments. By effectively coordinating with team members and other departments, the Power Equipment Operator will help to minimize delays and enhance overall productivity.
Ultimately, the success of this role contributes significantly to the company's ability to meet customer demands and maintain high service standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or inventory management role.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Power equipment experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Forklift certification or experience operating warehouse equipment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse environment.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Organize and store products in designated areas within the warehouse.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and update databases as necessary.
- Prepare orders for shipment, ensuring all items are packed securely.
- Assist in conducting regular inventory audits and cycle counts.
Skills:
The required skills for this position include attention to detail, which is essential for accurately receiving and recording inventory. Strong organizational skills will help the Warehouse Clerk maintain an orderly workspace and ensure efficient product retrieval. Basic computer skills are necessary for updating inventory databases and generating reports. Preferred skills, such as experience with warehouse management systems, will enhance the Clerk's ability to streamline operations and improve accuracy.
