Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Senior Project Manager to support a critical contract focused on monitoring logistics for the Office of Head Start (OHS). The Assistant Senior Project Manager will work closely with the Senior Project Manager and Project Director to ensure the successful execution of all contract deliverables, including the development of the OHS monitoring national schedule, recruitment and management of review teams, and the execution of various types of reviews. The Assistant Senior Project Manager supports the Senior Project Manager in executing tasks, often taking on specific operational or administrative responsibilities to ensure the project runs smoothly.
THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and coordinating project activities.
- Manage day-to-day operational tasks, such as scheduling meetings, tracking deliverables, and updating project documentation.
- Help monitor and report project progress to senior leadership and the OHS.
- Provide support in managing risks and solving problems on a day-to-day basis.
- Liaise with other team members and other contractors to ensure tasks are being completed according to the project timeline.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Project Support: Assist the Senior Project Manager and Project Director in overseeing all aspects of the contract to ensure deliverables are met in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 12 and Part 15.
- Schedule Assistance: Support the development and maintenance of the OHS monitoring national schedule.
- Team Coordination: Assist in the recruitment, management, and deployment of monitoring review teams, content experts, team leads, and reviewer consultants.
- Logistics Coordination: Help coordinate travel logistics for review events, including on-site, virtual, and desk reviews.
- Review Participation: Support the execution of all types of reviews, including follow-up and child health and safety reviews.
- Reporting Assistance: Assist in drafting initial review reports and ensure timely submission to the Office of Head Start.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders, including the Office of Head Start, Administration for Children and Families (ACF), and Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including those outlined in the Head Start Act.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in project coordination, project management support, or as a junior project manager, preferably in a government or non-profit setting. Experience with Head Start programs is a plus.
- Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, communication skills, problem-solving, project management
- Knowledge: Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and the Head Start Act.
